The Bull City Dignity Project was born over grilled cheese sandwiches and tomato soup by two students who believe in the power of telling stories.
Kari Barclay is a Theater and Political Science major with a focus on theater for social change. He directs Duke's Me Too Monologues (anonymous stories of identity at Duke) and has directed works at Manbites Dog and Common Ground Theatre.
Lara Haft is a political science major with a background in spoken word poetry. She spent the past summer researching the ethics of intersectional storytelling and helps facilitate the Writers Block Poetry Club at Hillside High School in Durham.
